Data Warehouse Developers perfo1ms analysis, design, code, and testing of moderate to extremely complex data extraction routines and report development. Supports the Medicaid data warehouse systems, works on multiple assignments concurrently, and completes work in queue by aggressive due dates. Uses a range of expert technical skills based on a keen knowledge of data warehouse and must be highly proficient with Oracle SQL. Helps identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Regularly peer reviews the work of others and frequently mentors others.

SPECIFIC DUTIESUnderstand and translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutionsCreate data models and designs to meet specific business needs that require sourcing data from multiple source systemsCode Oracle ETL scripts that will extract data from an operational database and populate the staging and target data warehouse schemasDocument code and processes for distribution to all interested partiesDocument design using industry standardsProvide query writing suppo1i and tuning expe1iise to analysts and end usersDevelop shell scripts for production job automationWork in a 24x7 environment which requires on-call rotation
QUALIFICATIONS3-5 years of experience in database development including analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing and implementing primarily SQL codeThorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques, specifically dimensional dataExceptional Oracle SQL skills and PL/SQL skillsHands on experience with set based operations, analytic functions and query hintsCommand of data warehouse modeling concepts is requiredStrong problem solving and analytical skillsProficiency with Linux and shell scriptingExperience working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouseExperience with Perl, system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery and networking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experienceMedicaid or other healthcare or claims processing experienceAWS (Cloud) ExperienceExadata expertiseInformatica ETL experienceCognos 10.3 reporting experience.
