Oracle Engineer - Junior

Position Overview:

The Junior Oracle Engineer will assist in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a DoD financial management system. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their expertise in Oracle technologies. The Junior Oracle Engineer will focus on learning the fundamentals of Oracle environments while supporting senior engineers in ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Databases.Support infrastructure services (IaaS) in Cloud environments.Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of custom images for Oracle Cloud with limited initial operating environment STIG.Help with Oracle Software Security Assurance (OSSA) reviews and manual testing.Work on simple Terraform scripts to support automation under the guidance of senior engineers.Assist in the integration of Oracle applications in compliance with DoD cybersecurity and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.At least 1 year of experience working with Oracle applications or databases (internship or project experience counts).Basic understanding of Oracle Database (11g, 12c, and above), PL/SQL programming, and Oracle Cloud ERP.Secret Clearance8140 IAT Level II certificationOracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect (in process or to be completed within 6 months).

Desired Skills:

Basic scripting skills in Python or Java or equivalentFamiliarity with DevSecOps principles.Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.Interest in learning RESTful web services, JavaScript, XML, and Linux/Unix environments.

Location: Hybrid (with a mix of on-site and remote work)
