Description:-
Job Functions
· Work closely with development managers, architects, business analysts to architect design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain search applications based on functional requirements and scope of work.
· Contribute and confirm to customer’s adopted software development standards.
· Focus on quality and continuous improvement to technology and process.
· Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to production support group as needed.
Regular day to day job responsibilities does not involve travel
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
· 8-14 years’ experience in design and development of search and eBusiness applications using Java technologies.
· Hands on work experience with Endeca search engine
· Have good Java expertise, must know best practices and be up to date on the latest Java specifications and frameworks
· Have experience leading and mentoring junior team members.
· Be performance driven, self starter and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Be highly motivated to research, adopt new technologies, challenges and work in an agile environment.
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of diverse environments and components.
Preferred Requirements / Qualifications:
· Experience designing solutions using Java, in-depth working knowledge of various design patterns and best practices is needed.
· Be a hands-on expert in Java, Spring, JMS, JSP, Struts and RDBMS (Oracle or SQL Server); strong proficiency in ANT, IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, XML and Unix.
· Should be an excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
· Experience with Informatica, Content Management Solutions and GIT/Mercurial would be nice to have.
