Growing together.** **Busy Ophthalmology practice located at** : 2 Ohio Drive Suite 201 Lake Success, NY 11042 **Work schedule** : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am – 5pm, Tuesday 11am -7pm, Friday 8am – 4pm. 1 Sunday per month 8am – 12pm **Primary Responsibilities:** + Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat wide-ranging vision disorders and eye conditions for a diverse patient base + Full-scope vision care, prescribing corrective lenses including eyeglasses and the fitting of contact lenses, based on individual patient needs + Provide education on eye health, proper contact lens care and hygiene, the latest eyewear options, ensuring patients are well-informed about their choices + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as needed, to wholistically manage and monitor patient health + Care for patient populations ranging in age from children to older adults who may require specialty lenses, tinted filters, basic magnification for reduced vision, prism for binocular disorders and double vision and sports related vision requirements + Perform, as required, related collaborative, supportive clinical duties as a member of an in-office physician team You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school + Active licensure to practice optometry in New York + 3+ years of experience as an Optometrist + Proven solid knowledge of eye health, optometric procedures, and various vision correction methods + Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate patients and provide compassionate care + Ability to stay current with the latest advancements in eye care and vision technology + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment The salary range for this role is $133,500 to $203,000 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
