KLA is looking for a Opto-Mechanics Engineer in our Central Engineering Group in Ann Arbor. The engineer will work in a team of opto-mechanical design engineers and optical engineers responsible for core optics modules across different divisions within the corporation. The engineer owns the modeling, designing, detailing, and testing new opto-mechanical sub-system for the next generation of KLA tools!
Qualifications and Education:Strong understanding of optical and mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals including precision mechanical mechanisms, heat transfer, fabrication methods, and integration and testing.Experience with FEA simulations for structural and thermal analysis.Proficient in 3D solid modeling using CAD, preferably ProE/Creo.Analytical problem-solving skills in the structural, optical and thermal domains.Proficient in engineering tolerance and error budgetsExcel working in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organizationExcellent writing skills and verbal communicationMust be able to travel for training, project support and support of customers globally!
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic), Master's Level Degree with 2 years of work experience, Bachelor's Level Degree with 3 years of work experience
