Job Description:The Quality and Patient Safety Initiative (QPSi) at the University of Florida College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Website Support Specialist to maintain and enhance our WordPress website. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in web management who is passionate about creating engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital content. The specialist will be responsible for updating website content, leading design and layout, optimizing for search visibility, and ensuring seamless functionality.
Job Duties include:
Update and maintain the QPSi website on WordPress, ensuring accurate and timely content. Assist with the design and layout of new web pages as needed. Ensure website content is engaging, accessible, and user-friendly. Monitor website performance and address any broken links, formatting issues, or technical glitches. Implement basic SEO optimizations to improve search visibility. Support integration of multimedia elements (e.g., images, videos, infographics). Assist in tracking website analytics and preparing basic reports on traffic and engagement. Collaborate with team members to ensure the website aligns with QPSi’s goals and branding.About COM's Quality and Patient Safety Initiative (QPSi):

Expected Salary:$18 per hour
Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with WordPress website management (editing, updating, and troubleshooting). Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for minor website customizations. Familiarity with SEO best practices to enhance site visibility. Ability to create and edit web content, images, and multimedia (e.g., using Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools). Understanding of website accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure compliance. Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools to track website performance. Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate content updates. Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines.
