To find out more about us, click on the link: http://www.floridajobs.org/ The Work You Will Do: This OPS Outreach and Communications Liaison will work with the Division of Economic Development’s Communications team to assist with writing, editing, routing, and distributing the Division’s press releases, statements, and correspondence, as well as assist with event planning, drafting social media, graphic design, and other duties as assigned. Pay: $20-25/Hour Your Specific Responsibilities: + Review documents for accuracy, formatting, and grammatical errors. Work with staff to ensure factual reporting of information and data. + Assist with planning and development of Division communication designed to keep the programs, services, accomplishments and/or mission up to date. + Assist with creation of content and graphic design for the Agency’s website, brochures, display boards, presentations, and other media. + Assist with writing of talking points, presentations, and other outreach material for the Division staff to promote FloridaCommerce programs. + Assist with the organization and facilitation of Division and FloridaCommerce events. + Assist with tracking and managing communications requests from Division and agency staff. + Perform other duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. + Ability to work independently and as a team member. + Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. + Must have excellent writing and proofreading skills. + Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, customer service, or ethics. + Effectively handle multiple tasks while completing assignments timely. + Ability to compile data from a variety of sources and present in a logical manner. + Ability to assign, prepare, track, and review assignments. + Ability to create and organize hard copy and electronic files. + Skill and proficiency using Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and other graphic design software Qualifications: As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
