OPS Harn Museum Security and Visitor Engagement Assistant Apply now (https://secure.dc4.pageuppeople.com/apply/674/gateway/default.aspx?c=apply&lJobID=535303&lJobSourceTypeID=796&sLanguage=en-us) Job no: 535303 Work type: Temp Part-Time Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Categories: Libraries/Museums, Recreation/Event Services Department: 57801300 - HN-SECURITY Classification Title: OPS Hourly Non-Secretary/Clerical Job Description: + Greet and welcome guests to the museum. + Interact with all visitors and staff of the museum in a professional and positive manner. + Provide excellent customer service and provide general and directional information to guests. + Perform routine patrol of galleries and public spaces. + Monitor guest compliance with museum policies and report non-compliance through verbal and written communication. + Provide front desk coverage on an as-needed basis. + Provide escorts as needed to secure areas within the museum. + Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, chairs, and tables for museum activities. + Practice de-escalation techniques when dealing with aggressive or disruptive behavior. + Professionalism, reliability, dependability and adherence to schedules are required. + Other duties as assigned. Expected Salary: $14.00 per hour Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, or its equivalent, and one year of relevant experience.
