JOB PURPOSE:

To perform all Packaging basic duties associated with the manufacturing and filling/assembly of products in order to ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing procedures and Food and Drug administration requirements.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assists or performs setup of selected equipment with guidance from leadership to ensure smooth packaging operations. Performs packaging line/equipment setup, clean and changeover activities that require the use of hand tools, removal/replacement of machine parts as well as adjustments in order to comply with relevant regulations. Conducts line verification to ensure that no foreign product or components remain on the line/equipment/workstation. Provides feedback to inform leadership of issues and errors with GMP documentation. Performs necessary process checks including but not limited to package checks, hourly audits, etc. to conduct equipment and facility compliance assessments. Ensures the operation of the packaging lines to pack products according to instruction, schedules and parameters. Communicates with own and other team members to achieve the company goals. Certifies packed finished products meets all specifications and that the packaging schedule is strictly adhered to in order to minimize all kinds of waste. Prepares reviews of production, machine breakdown reports and signs to present to management. Initiates, executes or participates in suitable actions where necessary to prevent or improve occurrence of quality issues, wastage or machine downtime. Assists in the update and review of packaging procedures, instructions and control forms to meet and improve the company’s standards. Raises any machine problems to line leader to notify, follow up and coordinate with the Engineering team on repair and planned maintenance activities. Takes necessary action to prevent others of working in an unsafe manner. Demonstrates a growth mindset to share and advocate for best practices in order to utilize downtime effectively.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/High School Diploma in any related field. Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
