Operator II, Manufacturing Product Handler II (1stShift)

The Operator II will play a meaningful role in ensuring the flawless execution of our manufacturing processes, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Position Summary:  Pre-inspects quality of fabricated parts and loads and unloads for paint line process onto automatic conveyor paint line.  Delivers painted parts to internal assembly lines. 
Performs routine procedures following written work instructions to complete manufacturing processes.  Maintains documentation on manufacturing processes to comply with organization and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Complete routine manufacturing procedures in strict adherence to written work instructions to guarantee alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.Monitor and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes to ensure flawless execution and compliance.Collaborate with team members to identify standard methodologies and effectively implement continuous improvement initiatives.Apply different protective supplies to ensure all parts are free of defects and delivered in excellent condition to the assembly lines.Deliver finished goods to manufacturing lines or store them in designated racks as required.Provide support and coverage on all operations as requested by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and cross-training efforts.Adhere strictly to required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and ISO standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.Communicate effectively within the cell and with other departments to relay key information and collaborate on production issues and goals.Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4-I Values and mentoring new or transitioning employees.Apply computer systems to complete tasks like checking e-mail, completing online training, and participating in the Performance Management and Development (PMD) process.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.Ability to stand, bend, reach, and handle bulky parts, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds.Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn.Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing experience preferred.General knowledge of spray finish tools and processes is preferred.
