Job Description
The Operator Helper will work closely with Machine Operators and assist them in operating production lines. Helpers will follow the company's processes and standards of safety, cleanliness, quality control, and documentation of production and packaging for shipping.
ResponsibilitiesRemove rolls from the machines, weigh, label, and palletize those rolls.Perform basic inspections to check rolls for treat, width, and any physical abnormalities.Fold and store samples from each roll produced and accurately label them with job numbers.Operate the stretch wrap machine to wrap the finished product on the pallets.Document necessary production information in the production report, QC report, and other production reports. Review and verify them for accuracy.Print finished good tags and label appropriate rolls and pallets.Maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality of the product, machines, and facility by adhering to company policies and procedures.Participate in daily preventive maintenance activities.Cut cores and sort the core area between good cores and scrap cores.Document all safety, quality, maintenance, and production-related issues on the appropriate forms.Fill out maintenance work orders for equipment in need of repair or service.Essential Skills1+ year of manufacturing/production experienceAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work 12-hour shifts/Alternative Work ScheduleAdditional Skills & QualificationsBasic inspection skillsBasic maintenance of work area and machineryProficiency in documentationExperience with palletizing, labeling, wrapping, and general laborWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Very clean manufacturing facility with 3 plastic extrusion machines that operate 24/7. The team consists of about 15-20 employees. The work schedule is a rotating

Week 1 -Monday Tuesday, 7pm-7am; Wednesday Thursday Off, Friday Saturday Sunday 7pm-7am
Week 2 -Monday Tuesday, Off; Wednesday Thursday 7pm-7am, Friday Saturday Sunday Off

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
