Job Summary
Under limited supervision, operators will be expected to: maintain proper bin levels, manage production throughput and quality standards, sanitation upkeep, managing and adjusting process equipment as needed, and to complete any necessary tasks. Operators must also have additional knowledge of the plant flow in order to make swift changes for production rate maximization.
Essential Job FunctionsConducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.Maintains a good attendance recordWork rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidaysMaintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)Maintain sorting equipment to ensure quality acceptable quality performanceMaintain production ratesAbility to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.Continuously monitors and cleans equipment for optimal performance and qualityReview production records and labeling for accuracyPerform quality checks as requiredMay perform other duties as assigned.Education/TrainingAll required ADM safety, food safety, quality and environmental trainingParticipate in company planned operations trainingForklift training requiredExperienceEmployee’s safety recordCommunications/Interpersonal skillsJob knowledgePositive contribution to teamQuality of workProductivityAttendance and PunctualityLength of service with ADM (may be considered when other factors are equal)Housekeeping and sanitation habits.Working ConditionsAmbient conditions – Hot or cold TemperaturesTime Spent: Inside and OutsideHumidity: 50% - 90%Atmosphere: Dust (Peanut - known allergen) and odor, Dirty environmentsProtective clothing required: Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performedJob specific PPEWork overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsOccasionally move objects that weigh up to 55 LBS Must be able to sit or stand for prolong periods of timeMove from area to areaTransport MaterialPosition self to conduct work at various heightsRotate bodyCrouch, squat and bendAscend / descend from various levels (climb ladders and stairs)Repetitive use of handsUse broom, shovel and others tools to complete assignmentsADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
