Responsibilities: + Prioritizes personal safety and the safety of the plant, actively contributes to the reporting of safety observations, and fostering a culture of safety awareness, resulting in zero workplace accidents. + Promotes and follows the 5S system. + May be required to perform other duties as assigned. + Review specifications and product to assure standards are being attained, correcting deficiencies, and ensuring all products or components meet Quality Specifications. + Assures that Safety and Housekeeping requirements are being met in all areas of the cell. + Reviews schedules and reports actual production with Supervisor/Manager and the Planning Department to assure requirements are being satisfied. + Performs First Piece Inspections as required. + Instructs and assists employees in the assembly of products. Active, productive part of cell or team working together to meet production requirements. + Sets up and efficiently operates equipment in Work Center. + The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May require minor maintenance in the P.M. as needed. + Works with Engineering, Quality and Materials Group to improve equipment performance, sample runs, product testing, and inventory as required. + Actively contributes to high-performance teams, fosters a lean culture, and engages in activities to drive impactful change. Qualifications: + U.S. Citizenship required. + Approximately six months – one year experience is necessary to develop skills and knowledge to perform proficiently. + Must be able to read and understand measurement tools, such as tape measures, gauges and other measuring devices used to ensure quality. + Must have knowledge and experience in all aspects of the cell and be a working member of the cell. + Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need.
