The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL (Lake Bluff, IL) location in the Core Division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

As an Operator I Production, the primary function is to ensure equipment used by Manufacturing is prepared and sterilized following approved current procedure. Provide direction and work assignments. Coordinates with manufacturing areas to facilitate the manufacturing process and ensure smooth and continued operations.

Accountability for the role Ensure the manufacturing schedule is met. Audits documentation to ensure procedural and regulatory compliance. Assures compliance with GMP/ISO practices. Responsible for proper cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of miscellaneous types of manufacturing equipment to ensure Fill/Label, Chemical Dispensing, Solutions Formulation, and other users have the equipment available for ADD Manufacturing. Manufacturing delays due to improperly prepared equipment could have a negative financial impact including unnecessary downtime and product off the market.

What You’ll Work On

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Clean, assemble, and sterilize different types of manufacturing equipment such as filling equipment, filters, tanks, etc. Following cGMP. Use a computer to create labels and generate reports via the AMS/MES system. Prepare vials for dry heat treatment including use of AMM and AMS/MES systems to track work orders. Trains, motivates and assigns daily work to personnel assigned to their stations. Changes strategies in response to changing priorities.Track the status of projects and tasks. Evaluates timetables and delegates when necessary. Responds to customer requests and contact appropriate individuals to resolve customer’s problems. Provide troubleshooting and guidance as required. Arrange your activities and/or the activities of others to attain specific objectives. Ensure the manufacturing schedule is met. Audits documentation to ensure procedural and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.One to three years of operations or manufacturing support experience is required.Individuals will be required to train and become familiar with GMP and Service Center processes for glassware and equipment cleaning.

The base pay for this position is $17.50 – $35.00 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
