Operations Unit Lead 

     

Your task and Responsabilities:

 

Contribute to the development of people and processes. Be a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in maintenance, digital tools and pre- conditioning process at the site. Utilize available resources effectively to remove roadblocks and enhance productivity. Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches driving tangible value. Strategic Design: Support and Develop frameworks and structures that optimize processes and resources for value creation within our mission. Encourage autonomy and accountability within teams, promoting a sense of ownership. Deliver coaching, mentoring, and training to the operations unit team members, fostering achievement and personal development across the team. Engage with site functions to determine savings initiatives, ensuring savings targets are achieved. Assist with the development and review of key site performance indicators, driving action that aligns with thesite and regional goals. Lead and facilitate waste reduction/elimination through structured programs, including processing mapping, loss and waste analysis etc. Support onePSS site implementation and sustainment, leveraging best practices andchange management methodology. Play an active role in the ideation and deployment of future technological advancements. Lead by example, creating a culture of safety, quality, and compliance. Manage on-site stakeholder relations, fostering collaboration. Measures operations quality and efficiency; strives for steady improvement by collecting user feedback and runs learning sessions Always financially assess in-house or outsourced digital development tools, processes, or services (including maintenance of equipment) acting as a business owner. Pre-Conditioning: Lead seed operations—extraction, treatment, drying, and storage—ensuring quality at every stage, and ensuring compliance with global and local protocols. Ensure the optimum conditions for seed storage and Security Aspects. Ensuring timely seed delivery to customers, meeting their needs and expectations through an efficient delivery management system and the measurement of relevant KPIs Partner with Production Team, Field Quality, Production Research and others to identify improvement opportunities for reliability, quality, cost, and customer experience. Maintain regular touchpoints with the site & global crop teams. Maintenance Strategy and Operational Excellence: Guarantee 100% compliance with preventive maintenance and thorough inspections for assets, ensuring sustained operational excellence. Develop a robust equipment maintenance strategy to prevent unanticipated failures, save costs, and extend the equipment lifecycle, ultimately enhancing long-term productivity for the company. Take charge of ensuring the correct functioning of production machines and preventing unplanned production downtime. Lead the Predictive Maintenance Strategy on the site Identify opportunities for technological advancements to enhance productivity and reduce manual intervention. Lead the OEE implementation and User Driven Maintenance implementation. Lead and facilitatemilestone reviews and workshops. Digital Tools: Improve decision-making and precision in farming, operations & enabling through digital tools. Deliver tools that provide

 

Who you are:

 

Bachelor of Science degree or higher (Engineering or Business preferred) with 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management along with at least 3 years of experience in the areas of maintenance, engineering, or operations & 6 years of successful experience in leading/developing people and teams).Shopfloor mindset orientation & experience with problem-solving tools/process improvement.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop talent & build effective teams, cultivate innovation, manage through ambiguity/change & drive vision and purpose.Ability to enhance a psychologically safe environment to allow innovation and continuously develop business solutions.Good knowledge of planned preventive and predictive (PM/PdM) maintenance principles and practices.Proven knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma practices and methodologies. Strong project management skills.Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Excellent results orientation and planning skills.Knowledge of SAP System preferred & advanced computer proficiency (MS Office, BI software).Demonstrate high self-awareness as well as system awareness​
