We are looking for an Operations Support Supervisor for our wheels and brakes maintenance, repair and overall (MRO) facility, Goodrich Asia Pacific Limited, located in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong. This is a great opportunity to establish or advance your career in the aviation industry.
What You Will Do
Analyzes production parts inventory and coordinates with US material team and local operations team on replenishment and stocking levels
Track critical parts, monitor daily deliveries, investigate missed commits and communicate recovery dates
Guides the procurement team and assists in the negotiation process for non-production materials to ensure the procurement process is executed per the standard work/processes.
Support the overall needs of the business while collaborating cross functionally to ensure business needs are met and pricing obtained from supply base is competitive.
Drive cost reductions where possible, improve our relations with existing suppliers while finding new suppliers who can meet our needs more efficiently and to identify cost reductions opportunities.
Oversee the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
Manages material inventory, supplier integration strategies (VMI/3PL/supermarkets) and import/export controls.
Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
Plans and maintains proper staffing levels in area of responsibility
Set goals, targets and career objectives for each member of the team. Monitor team member’s performance
Champions an environment of relentless continuous improvement; actively participates in and leads continuous improvement events and projects.
Ensures all production and support personnel operate in full compliance with the RTX Code of Ethics, regulatory requirements, and RTX / Collins company policies.
Ensures workplace is safe and free of significant hazards; and is a champion for worker safety, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Experience with processes such as organizing and preparing merchandise for shipping, maintaining records, and scheduling shop loading, with attention to detail.
Experience using SAP, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant software applications.
Qualifications We Prefer
Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflow.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
