This position is responsible for tracking work packages as they are issued, received, submitted, and closed. Pickup and delivery of work packages to work teams is included in this role as well as accurately maintaining the database (EAM) of work package status and location. Running reports from EAM is necessary and part of the assignment. Good organization skills are required to successfully fulfill this role due to the volume of work packages that change hands. Progress towards and eventual Planner qualification will also be required to assist the planning team with Planner responsibilities such as verification work packages are complete and work package closeout. This position acts as the Point of Contact (POC) for scheduling Team Planning Meetings (TPM) and other meetings as necessary for the Projects Planning organization. Must be a self-starter and can work with little supervision. Must have the ability work with Microsoft Excel and Word. Responsibilities include the following: - Interface with the responsible Field Work Supervisor, Planner, Engineer, Material Coordinator, Construction Management, Maintenance, and other groups. - The ability to obtain the Work Planner qualification. - Assist in maintaining databases used for Tank Farm Project (TFP) tracking purposes. - Assist the Projects Planning Manager with maintaining and ensuring work is ready for execution according to the Projects P6 schedule. - Interaction with crafts/subcontractors and other construction/project managers. - Must have good communication skills both verbal and written. - Maintain the status of work activities as work is being executed or as emergent work is identified by attending the daily Plan of the Day (POD) meetings. This position requires self-motivation, influence change, strong leadership skills, and excellent organizational and communication skills and must have strong command and control while dealing with support organizations. Must have the Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task. Required Qualifications Grade 13: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field. Grade 14: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased. Grade 15: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related field and 3-4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased. Desired Qualifications - Previous Hanford experience - Previous experience with schedules and working to deadlines - Previous experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, such as EAM - Previous experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
