Operations Support (Platform Engineering – Senior)

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Location: Springfield, VA

Experience: At least 12 years of experience with 8 years of specialized experience

 

Position Overview:

This role serves as Operations Support subject matter expert and technical advisor responsible for managing the daily operations, contributing to strategic planning and coordinating resolution of operational issues.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provides strategic advice and recommendations to leadership on new or modified operating policies, practices, and proceduresSupports fielding and sustainment of operational hardware.Supports PMO asset management through resource documentation and site inspections.Coordinates maintenance repairs and manages other aspects of the physical property or equipmentCollaborate with staff members across the Platform Engineering Division and vendors to ensure successful operations of the Maven applications and servicesCoordinate with the Product Management staff to document quarterly and annual goals for the Maven IT infrastructureCoordinate with CIO-T to resolve issues with the Maven operational infrastructure.Support COR coordination efforts with vendors to ensure proper cloud computing, security, networking, storage and database management services are implemented as directed by the COR and PMO engineering lead. Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of work experience in the systems engineering career field or 3 years of comparable experience supporting fielding and sustainment of operational hardware.Experience with using and/or managing a cloud computing environment (commercial or government)Broad understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) conceptsAbility to communicate with external and internal stakeholders and able to succeed in a fast-paced environmentSupport updates to leadership and senior leaders on operational issues.Demonstrated experience working on or with major defense acquisitions or large R&D programsStrong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience working on or with major defense acquisitions or large R&D programsDemonstrated experience with enterprise project management concepts like Scaled Agile for Enterprise.
