If you’re a Operations Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Operations Specialist 1 (Level 1) reports to Operations or Technical Leadership. The position supports production from a technical standpoint and has a basic understanding of the product being produced in the area. It is the first line of defense for production related issues. The position solves minor manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.

What you will be doing
Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation: Create operation/work instruction techniques. Conduct nondestructive tests and evaluations according to specified techniques/procedures and document the findings.Interpretation of Welds: Analyze welds produced through various processes in accordance with internal & customer specification as well as AWS codes.Training and Guidance: Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Trainees and Assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.Reporting: Organize and report test results in a clear and concise manner.Inspection: Ensure that parts are inspected in accordance with proper specifications, maintaining high standards of quality.Production Requirements: Meet daily production requirements as required, ensuring timely completion of tasks.Quality Assurance: Uphold a high standard of workmanship and quality in all tasks performed.Record Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date personnel training logs and related testing information.Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use of equipment and completion of daily logs and performance checks. Request necessary equipment and supplies to maintain inventory levels and ensure the availability of required items.What We Are Looking For
Basic written/verbal communication skillsBasic understanding of six sigma tools and lean principlesBasic troubleshooting and problem solving skillsBasic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, SAP, WISE, PLM)Able to manufacture basic parts or assemblies with preliminary drawings. Able to operate basic test or manufacturing equipmentAble to interpret basic schematics or drawings and identify mistakesAutomation Specific: Basic knowledge of applicable automated or semi-automated manufacturing processes and equipmentMachining Specific: 1. Basic knowledge of applicable machining processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming, 2. Basic interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition and 3. Basic knowledge of cutting tools and machine capabilityManufacturing & Assembly Specific: 1. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or design/training/implementation of processes including setup/programming/training for tooling, fixturing, assembly equipment, and manufacturing aids and 2.
