KBR is seeking an Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to join our team and conduct studies and analysis in support of the United States Space Force at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. US Citizenship is required and an active Secret clearance (with the ability to obtain TS/SCI) is required. Key Responsibilities: KBR is seeking an Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to join our team and conduct studies and analysis in support of the United States Space Force at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. US Citizenship is required and an active Secret clearance (with the ability to obtain TS/SCI) is required. Qualified candidates will serve on an analysis team made up of operations research analysts, data scientists, software developers, and operational military subject matter experts. Qualifications should include the ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives. The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff. Requirements: BA/BS degree in operations research, mathematics, data science, industrial engineering or related field -4-6 years experience -US Citizenship with Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI -High motivation to provide decision-quality information and recommendations to senior leaders -Ability to communicate effectively across multi-functional teams -Strong quantitative and analytic abilities and critical thinking to integrate and analyze data -Familiarity working with complex and unstructured problems, and the ability to translate customer requirements and objectives into solvable mathematical or computer problems Desired Skills -Experience in DoD space and/or joint force programs -Proficiency using Python -Experience using Palantir tools such as Warp Core and/or Envision -Experience wrangling data and building data pipelines -Experience with Numpy, scikit-learn, keras, Pytorch, and/or Tensorflow -Basic experience with APIs Work Environment: + Location: on-site at Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, CO + Travel Requirements: Minimum: up to 10% of time within the continental United States. + Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week. Basic Compensation: $90-110k The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
