Continuous Improvement Manager

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed

This role will compensate between $74,000-$142,000

\n

Continuous Improvement Manager Responsibilities:

\n\nIdentify and facilitate process improvement projects, training, and workshops to drive cultural change.\nConduct root cause analyses to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing/business and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation.\nIdentifies and implements cost reductions in pursuit of Continuous Improvement Program\nCarry out data collection and analysis for process mapping.\nPartners with the customer on containment actions in production, and corrective actions to improve outgoing product quality.\nDevelop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.\nDrive value stream mapping to define current state and transition to future state.\nDevelop and conduct compliance audits, program evaluations, and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.\nManage multiple areas with multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders –;daily.\nGuide the direction for the facility, as an internal expert and consultant in continuous improvement best practices\nBuild and foster relationships with the customer and work with them to deliver NLS principles and deliverables.\nSupport employees at all levels by mentoring and training in NLS methodologies.\n\n

Individualized Tasks:

\n\nPA Gemba: Weekly Review of a Process area in the building. Focus on adherence to the JIS in cooperation with the training team. Optimal team would be MVPs in area, NLS Manager and Training coordinator.\nHour by Hour Monitoring: With the roll-out of new Hour by Hour boards in Gate 1, NLS manager will be the Tier 0 as part of the layered audit. Tracking and reporting based on feedback from the Tier 1 and Tier 2 audits.\nRoster Validation: NLS Manager will be responsible for auditing the roster updated from supervisors. Each Supervisor should be reviewed every month.\nArea Audit: All zones (final TBD) within the building will be audited at a standard cadence. Review focused on Safety, 5S, and Muda.\n5S Audit: Daily 5S audit of areas within building. This would also include non-production areas.\nPAO Audit: Review of existing PAO board for process adherence and report to OMs.\nTeam Building Exercise: Work with supervisors and OMs to identify opportunities for morale improvement with an additional focus on identifying underutilized talent in the workforce.\nBusiness Analyst Check-in: Daily check in with supporting BA for issues or needs.\nTraining Team Workshop: Weekly Session to get needs from Weekend Training team for gaps and opportunities for improvement.\n

Job Description:

Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of Supervisors and indirect reports by providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture of inclusion and belonging.Develop and implement efficient workflows, labor plan, standardize processes, and introduce best practices to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.Take proactive measures to consistently uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of heightened safety awareness throughout the organization.Compile comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to productivity and accuracy metrics, providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts.Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration, facilitating regular and effective dialogue among leadership and associates to promote transparency, alignment, and teamwork.Partner with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure a comprehensive hiring process of Supervisors. Provide valuable input and recommendations to support the selection of top talent that aligns with the organization's values, culture, and job requirements.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent and prompt fulfillment of customer orders, exceeding their expectations.Engage in a strong partnership with customers, proactively taking measures to address any concerns or issues, with the goal of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.


Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred.1+ years logistics industry experience, required.2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role, required.Experience with P&L management, objective setting, and project management, preferred.
