The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Fulfillment Center Operations, we are looking for an Operations Manager, responsible for inbound or outbound operations. You will maintain benchmark levels of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous improvement within the building and throughout the supply chain, and the hiring and development of management and hourly teams. You will be hands-on in a startup operation and will build relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, other FC teams and different departments in the company. You will manage a team and report to the Senior Operations Manager.

Build the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics and processesLead a team of Area Managers and hourly associatesDevelop and administer operational procedures for perfectly completing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracyGuide strategic planning and forecastingDevelop teammates for career progression and learningCreate a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees in the FC to workImprove safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouseUse the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to improve perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectivenessWhat You Bring:
B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent additional experience4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel experienceExperience effectively motivating, develop, and manage 50+ employeesAt least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order FulfillmentExperience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processesStrong project management and continuous improvement skillsExperience using Kaizens, process improvementRemote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
