Business Manager - Operations

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the operational aspects of local units, encompassing the full scope of Operations, including project management and control, project engineering, manufacturing, production engineering, maintenance, procurement, quality, continuous improvement, logistics, and planning and fulfillment, or a part of that. Each day, you will be responsible for developing business action plans for the units, aligned with business area/division/product group strategy and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring strict adherence within the Operations with respect to policies and required health, safety, and integrity standards. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tStrategy: Responsible for developing business action plans for the unit(s) aligned with Division/Business line/Product Group strategy and targets. Monitors implementation and tracks any deviations for corrective action•\tBudget: Prepares annual budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.•\tOperations improvement: Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. Ensures that the organization take an overall value chain perspective to meet customer expectations on quality, service levels, lead time and delivery, has a full understanding of culture of continuous improvement behaviors, methodology and processes.•\tHealth, safety and environment: Maintains compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.•\tCustomer relations: Provides support to Sales staff to improve understanding of customer requirements in order to identify both potential constraints and solutions to these requirements from an operational point of view.•\tPeople leadership and development: Creates and maintains a positive work environment for the Company. Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.•\tQuality: Build up high quality culture and drive process quality, product quality and people competency improvement to meet customer and business need.•\tGuides the team in building engineering capability through people development. Ensure production process align with operation target, continuously improve production efficiency and quality.•\tImprove factory digitalization and intelligence, have robust process to improve operation efficiency.

Qualifications for the role

Work experience\t10+ years manufacturing managerial experience in multinational companies.\tMultiple years of related instrumentation industry professional, prefer engineering background.\tProven record in achieve key performance metrics and drive for continuous improvement, better to have project management experience.\tKnowledge of manufacturing each functional and process, engineering experience needed.\tDigitalization experience.\tDemonstrated ability to influence the directions and attainment of objectives without having direct control over resources\tDemonstrated strong leadership capability\tDemonstrated knowledge and experience in strategy thinking, implementation, business process improvement, and operational excellence.\tStrong problem solving skills and take responsibility to delivery result as committed.Qualification\tUniversity Degree with major in Engineering, Mechanical and related.\tFluent communication and presentation skill by English and Chinese\tFostering teamwork and diversity, ability to work in groups\tAble to coach and mentor team member\tAble to manage change effectively \tHave strong sense of ownership to delivery results\tCustomer focus, meets expectations, internally and externally forms partnership\tStrong communication skills providing timely and concise information to others \tGood in planning and organizing
