Duties:

Packhouse Communication:
Daily orders Communicate ETA’s/Details Load Numbers Vehicle status Check additional loads Get loads from the PH for the next day Communicate packhouse ETA’s and vehicle details to Packhouse (PH) manager Ensure all load numbers are communicated to PH Manager Update and communicate ETA’s of trucks at PH to PH Manager Transporter management:
Vehicle commitment Manage arrival time Ad-Hoc price Manage late vehicles Deviations Get daily commitment from transporters Follow up on vehicles that have to load on the day to ensure no delays Manage the price of ad-hoc's to ensure season rate is under the benchmark Ensure minimum ‘stand-over’ loads by identifying late vehicles, and replacing with new vehicles Assist transporters with any possible deviations at port Operational:
Capture data on Datatim/TMS Send load confirmations Booking Slots All loads to be captured on Datatim/TMS All transporters to have load confirmation sent prior to vehicles leaving PH Book vehicle offloading slot in harbor, and communicate to transporter Harbor Permits Assist other departments Ensure all vehicles that require harbor permits have valid permits Assist other departments within Group with tracking information Administration:
POD capturing Claim Process Daily activities Assist finance dept with POD data capturing when needed Understand and follow claim process Systems:
Power BI Datatim/TMS Assist with development of PowerBI system Operational Management:
Oversee other areas Client communication Transporter communication Feedback Assist and guide other employees to ensure all areas run smoothly Build a trustworthy relationship with all clients. Have weekly feedback with service providers Weekly progress reports Risk Management Track and manage rate vs Benchmark Work closely with Sales team season, and take charge of weekly operation meeting Manage credit limits and proof of transporter GIT Ensure that other areas also stay under the benchmark Ensure sales team understand areas of concerns/potential targets regarding clients and service providers Requirements:
Min Matric Logistics degree or adequate industry work experience Must be able to work independently, must be able to work under pressure High levels if communication skills Excellent people management skills Energetic and innovative Able to work long & flexible hours High level of computer skills (Datatim/Power Bi/MS Office/Qlikview) Experience required:
7 years transport experience
3 years Operation Management experience
