Operations Manager, Breast Center, Mammography TechReq #:0000172697 Category:Radiology and Imaging Status:Full-Time Shift:Day Facility:RWJ New Brunswick Department:Plum St. Imaging Location: 10 Plum Street, 10 Plum Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Job Overview: The Operations Manager of Breast Imaging will coordinate breast imaging which includes mammography, needle wire localizations, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasounds and bone density studies, directing functions internally and interdepartmentally to provide maximum levels of quality service to patients at the Plum St Imaging and Morris Cancer Center locations Qualifications: Required: + + Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology Technology + + Certified by the ARRT in Radiology Technology and Mammography + + Associate Degree in Radiology and / or management preferred + + Mammography Certification + + Must have current ARRT Certification, + + Sufficient previous Supervisory experience required as deemed appropriate by the Administrative Director + + Must also understand and be able to implement Quality Assurance Procedures, Operate computer and patient imaging equipment Scheduling Requirements: + Days to work + Full-Time schedule + 40 hours/week Essential Functions: + The Radiology Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of RWJUH Breast Imaging at Plum Street, + Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring efficient workflow, coordinating schedules, and implementing quality control measures, + Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential, + Knowledge of radiology equipment, regulations, and administrative tasks is also required, + Performs duties in support of the Hospital mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner + Oversees all areas of breast imaging services in accordance with Departmental Policies and Procedures, + Maintains records and quality standards, as required by the ACR, NJDEP, and Mammography Quality Standard Act, + Prepares documentation and applications to maintain full accreditation of all breast-imaging services by MQSA and ACR, + Notifies key personnel, including Administrative Director, r Clinical Engineering and Radiation Physicist of issues, which need attention or correction to maintain accreditation of breast imaging, + Monitors quality improvement activities through managing and accessing systems to improve performance and to identify needs and through participating on departmental QA Committee, as evaluated by QA reports, Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
