Location Description The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility is 1,120,845 square feet and home to about 470 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits® and 9Lives®. This location has a cannery that produces wet dog food and there is also a Distribution Center on-site. Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, a landmark Town Park with many acres of recreational activities, and has one of the largest and longest running fairs in the country. Responsibilities JOB FUNCTION The Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) role is the liaison between the Operations and Maintenance departments. The OMC is responsible for the maintenance activities required for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of operating assets for the operations department. The OMC is responsible for prioritizing work, managing backlogs, and planning/scheduling shutdowns. The position’s customers include production and maintenance. The position will represent Operations’ interest in prioritizing maintenance work to achieve production output goals and will represent Maintenance’s interest in minimizing emergency work and maximizing completion of planned and scheduled work. JOB ACTIVITIES/DUTIES In partnership with Operations Manager, provide direction to Maintenance Manager, Operations Supervisor(s), Maintenance Supervisor(s) on work prioritization related to EAM. OMC must utilize strong operational knowledge to resolve any conflicting information, organizational priorities to determine final work schedule/prioritization. Develop and mature new EAM maintenance operating systems (MOS). Establish tracking KPIs and other metrics to ensure plant is achieving maintenance operational metrics. Audit and provide feedback to plant and corporate leadership on adherence to EAM MOS. Facilitate the Daily Approval & Scheduling Meeting to review all new Work Requests and help establish realistic priorities and need dates. Promptly review any new Work Requests for accuracy, completeness, and a clear description. Approve or reject Work Requests based on a judgement of value to the organization. Edit work order data fields to ensure accuracy. Monitor and assess the quality, timeliness, and safety of maintenance job executions. Maintain an awareness of all equipment maintenance needs and activities in area of responsibility. Ensure preparatory activities (lockouts, cleaning, permitting, etc.) are completed in a timely fashion so that maintenance work can proceed without delay. Monitor the work order backlog on a consistent basis. Communicate priorities to both Maintenance and Operations. Manage the area maintenance budget. Follow up on completed "Expedited” and "Urgent” Work Orders in area of responsibility. Use the Risk Rank calculator to determine if work is emergency, urgent, or routine work. Participate in the turnover of projects from Engineering to Maintenance to ensure adherence to the Work Management process. Manage execution of the Basic Equipment Care (BEC) program. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Four-year degree (or the equivalent work experience) in Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing or related fields. Experience: Fundamental understanding of plant production and packaging processes. Extensive experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project. Familiar with statistical process control. 4 years using EAM/CMMS systems. Infor EAM experience is desirable. Knowledge of maintenance management principles including but not limited to precision maintenance, preventive maintenance, root cause failure analysis, shutdown and contingency planning; desire to work with maintenance disciplines as a team. Skills: Must be self-driven, organized and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to influence broadly across location to drive results Ability to manage moderate scope change initiatives Proven written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with multiple priorities and prioritize work. Ability to teach and train new employees. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of assigned work Microsoft Office Work Structure: Works under general guidance of the Operations Management staff. Travel: Typically, travel is minimal, 15% or less.
