The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit is currently seeking an experienced Finance Analyst for its Hastings Plant – UK. The candidate must be an exceptional Business Partner to the plant manager and team. This position is responsible for pulling together plant financials, analyzing and bridging between details at the entity level and up-leveling results for global management. The role reports directly to the Plant Controller.
Description: Is a key contributor to the plant strategy by providing financial support and business analysis. Coordinates and drive the Actual, Quarterly and Annual Forecast Financial reporting process. Drive the financial performance improvements across all operational areas including material spend, labour &overheads and Working Capital. Provide analysis on all Plant Variances including Work Orders variances, PPV, Subcontracting activities, etc… Provide financial support and analysis on Capital Investment projects, capacity, and automation projects, make or buy decisions, prepare financial validation and follow up to Capital Equipment Request (CER) Review savings projects and monitor achievement of savings plans Assist in Monthly/ Quarterly, Yearly plant reviews with Plant Gross Margin focus. Maintain Standard Costs and support with Annual Recost process for the Plant. Perform tasks in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and accounting policies to maintain a strong Internal Control environment for inventories, fixed assets, capital, and all Corporate Policies. What your background should look like: Master’s in finance, Accounting or Economics (CIMA, ACCA would be preferred) 7 to 10 years of Finance experience in a manufacturing environment Accomplished knowledge in standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis and reporting matters. Strong background in Financial Analysis and Forecasting Modelling. Prior finance experience in general accounting principles and process.
