Operations Director - Policyholder Tax | Hybrid

You will provide direction and oversight of assigned department within Enterprise Operations. You will guide important priorities, set and achieve our performance targets, and deliver a positive experience to both policyholders and producers. You will report to the Vice President of Operations Shared Services.

 

What you do:

Develop department plans to ensure successful coordination of team activities (on and offshore) including annual policyholder tax reporting, tax withholding remittances, providing expertise on policyholder tax inquiries and requests, and completing policyholder tax reporting. Achieve performance targets while building controls and managing risks. Establish a customer-centric environment and build successful customer relationships. Demonstrate responsiveness by gathering input and feedback from customers. Guide process improvements to deliver and maintain a high-quality end-to-end customer service experience and achieve overall customer satisfaction and tax compliance targets. Establish and maintain a solid controls framework through oversight, capability and system ownership, monitoring of processes, and financial controls. Identify, report, and escalate risks and implement mitigation strategies. Be a business system owner for designated systems. Lead important change projects within assigned department to support policyholder tax compliance. This includes leading implementation of new policyholder tax laws and regulations, and ensuring policyholder tax requirements are implemented in other company projects. Ensure flexibility, change readiness of teams and department to achieve our goals into the future. Build the skills and develop the people needed to support the service delivery strategy at all levels. This includes a holistic people and employee engagement strategy to attract and retain talent, and leverage of a comprehensive workforce planning model to increase results and efficiencies. Establish successful working relationship with peers, senior Operations leaders, main partners, and vendors to deliver a high-quality end-to-end customer experience aligned with the service strategy and company-wide priorities.

 

What you bring:

6 or more years' experience required: Financial Services or Insurance and Annuity operations, specifically working with tax matters related to the administration of life insurance and/or annuity products, successful strategic leadership, business acumen, process/systems thinking, relationship and customer service skills Four-year degree required or equivalent work experience

 

Range $117,000 - $234,000

 

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
