**Business Unit Overview**
8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
**Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting all plants department operations administratively to ensure they run smoothly. The Operations Coordinator plans purchases, closes work orders, conducts inventory etc., for the plant in a timely manner to ensure business continues as usual with minimal interruption. The role is mainly an administrative position, although there are duties which requires them to be on the production floor, or warehouse areas to complete their work. They coordinate with and support all department Supervisors and Managers and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
• Daily Duties Entering WIP/ Peanuts, ingredients used Entering finished goods Work with Supervisors/Managers to investigate work order variances and make adjustments before closing the work orders. Close all Work Orders Peanut count – inventory of Peanuts in the Raw room (2 or 3x a week) Place orders for office supplies, sanitation chemicals, production consumables (ie, ink, labels, films) and equipment Code and submit Invoices for payment Record minutes on Redzone software for the 10am Daily Operations meetings • Weekly Duties Cycle count of peanuts and ingredients – working with Warehouse Supervisor Prepare sanitation documents for the week and enter the completed ones in the KPI file Check inventory of Sanitation chemicals and other cleaning supplies • Monthly Duties Update the Revel A and Palm Oil consumption file Update KPI masterfile File Monthly Work Orders • Annual Duties Work with the team for fiscal year closing – WOs, variances, inventories • Miscellaneous Duties Order food for events Assist on company’s special occasions Assist visitors if needed File receiving documents Created 2024-10-25 Updated by Tina Gareh Send mail, documents and cheques Upload photos and announcements at App Space Attend JHSC meetings Print Safety Chat for the week and place it on the binder in the office for signing • Examples of Software used Microsoft Office –excel, teams, word, outlook, power point Intellichief Maintenance Connection JDEdwards Remedy Force – issues for IT App Space The Reception Purolator Eway.ca Redzone Education And Experience Required: • High School diploma or equivalent minimum educational requirement • Certification of a project management professional credential would be preferred • Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be preferred Preferred, Experience, and Skills: • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • Proficient in technology and general office equipment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • Excellent team working skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
