Mountain West Bank is searching for a motivated Operations Clerk for our Coeur d'Alene location!! The Operations Clerk-Verifier will be responsible for reviewing "New Accounts' set ups, ensuring data is entered correctly, will prepare Pending Reports, communicate and work with the Personal Bankers regarding New and Revised accounts. The Operations Clerk will assist in Wire Transfers, and back up various positions in the Operations Department. Will assist with questions and requests, referring as needed to the appropriate person. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review the New Account set ups, working with the branches to correct any account that has not been set up correctly, and following the process through until the account is correct. Assemble and analyze information, compile data in a Pending Report, which is used to communicate with the branch items that need to be corrected or collected. Prepare reports and correspondence, as needed. Assist as needed in all areas of operations including and not limited to Wire transfers, BSA check list, providing support to the branches as needed. This position will assist ensuring BSA data has been collected correctly and completely on new and revised accounts. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. About You QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or the equivalent. One year of banking experience New Account experience or back up experience preferred PREFFERED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Knowledge of Mountain West Bank’s products, services and procedures Jack Henry systems knowledge New Account experience or back up experience preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
