The Swagelok Career Development Program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders and technical professionals within our organization. This unique program offers recent graduates from engineering, operations, or business disciplines the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and leadership skills through various operational and corporate rotations. Participants will rotate through three key assignments, each lasting 12-18 months, in their first three years of employment. The program provides exposure to areas such as operations supervision, manufacturing/assembly planning, sourcing, customer service, and human resources These business-critical assignments offer broad, rich operational and business experiences to enable career growth, supplemented with ongoing training, development, mentoring, and support from key management associates.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Engage in hands-on operational roles to understand the intricacies of our business.
+ Lead and participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and innovation.
+ Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations and achieve business objectives.
+ Adhere to position requirements as stated per the job description of the specific rotation assigned.
+ Lead and support small to mid-size projects and programs.
+ Participate and lead LEAN/CEDAC and other similar events.
+ Gain knowledge of key programs and policies critical to the business.
+ Present end-of-rotation summaries to key company leaders.
+ Achieve required leadership training according to schedule.
**Program Structure:**
+ **Rotations:** Participants will complete three rotations across different operational areas, each lasting 12-18 months. These rotations will provide exposure to core operations, process improvement, team management, and project execution. The third rotation will be in Production Supervision.
+ **Mentorship:** Each participant will be paired with an experienced leader who will provide guidance, support, and career development advice throughout the program.
+ **Training:** Comprehensive training programs will be offered to enhance technical skills, leadership capabilities, and business acumen.
**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
+ Open to working in one of our Northeast Ohio locations: Solon, Strongsville, Eastlake, Highland Hills, or Willoughby without relocation support.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Willingness to rotate for different assignments.
+ Intern, Co-op, or other relevant professional experience.
+ Excellent project management capabilities.
+ Ability and desire to lead others.
+ Effective at juggling multiple priorities in an organized manner.
+ Works well in a fast-paced environment.
+ Displays a range of problem-solving skills, from logical to creative.
+ Intellectually curious and open to new ideas.
+ Flexible in responding to shifting priorities or new demands.
+ Flexibility to work various shifts, including off-hours.
**Preferred Requirements: **
+ Co-op or other relevant experience in a professional operations capacity.
+ Demonstrated leadership experience through campus activities, work experience, and community involvement.
**Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
+ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
+ May be required to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests.
