The Lee Energy Facility comprises eight General Electric (GE) 7EA combustion turbine (CT) units, fueled by natural gas. Each unit has a nominal capacity of 80 MW, resulting in a total facility output of 640 MW. Designed primarily as a peaking plant, it provides additional generation during periods of high electricity demand.
Opportunity Summary
The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager performs leadership and O&M responsibilities ensuring the safe, efficient, reliable operation and maintenance of the plant. Performs all duties in compliance with plant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to operations, safety, conduct, and housekeeping. Protects the Owner’s investment in machinery, equipment, and facilities by exercising care, skill and knowledge. Ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and control and instrument equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition. This applies during day-to-day operation, scheduled outages, and to forced outages. Plans, oversees, and supervises Production Technicians in the repair, maintenance, and improvement of plant mechanical, electrical, control and instrument equipment. When needed, the O&M Manager will be hands-on, directly performing operations and maintenance responsibilities. The O&M Manager will evaluate plant maintenance requirements and coordinate with related work projects.
Primary Functions
Your scope of responsibility as O&M Manager will include the following primary functions:
Coordinate maintenance project activities by scheduling work, monitoring performance, and providing technical expertise to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Determine plant maintenance needs by following preventive and predictive maintenance programs, reviewing, and prioritizing work requests, and establishing job steps, estimated man-hours, and required parts and equipment. Conduct periodic reviews of plant policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current plant goals, operational requirements, and industry best practices. Ensure continuity of operations by training and developing plant personnel. Motivate, direct, and supervise personnel to effectively accomplish assigned duties through performance appraisals, recognition, discipline, and strong management practices. Supervise plant production personnel, including conducting pre-job briefings, overseeing LOTO procedures, performing safety job assessments, scheduling work, procuring parts, and ensuring proper job completion. Maintain records and coordinate activities related to all plant equipment. Participate in short- and long-term outage planning by attending plant meetings, formulating strategies to minimize equipment downtime, and ensuring efficient, timely, and safe repairs. Coordinate maintenance work with other plant operations to facilitate timely and safe repairs. Prepare and maintain reports and records to verify maintenance completion and support future maintenance planning. Establish, implement, and maintain equipment operating procedures to ensure the facility's safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Coordinate contractor support for equipment repairs and maintenance, including defining work scope, negotiating terms, developing contracts, and overseeing implementation. Lead the planning of maintenance outages with effective time management strategies. Provide the Plant Manager with updates on facility equipment availability and reliability. Support equipment operation by implementing preventive, predictive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance programs. Develop and maintain historical records of equipment operation, including runtime, maintenance downtime, costs, availability, and manpower utilization, and report findings to the Plant Manager. Assist the Plant Manager with budget development, operating plans, and technician development. Qualify as a Plant Operator/Control Room Operator (CRO). Continuously expand knowledge of the plant and power generation industry. Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.NAES Safe

Analyze results, write work orders, and provide training and education to eliminate hazards, address at-risk behavior, and meet company regulatory requirements. Conduct safety observation tours of high-risk activities (e.g., confined space) to verify that employees are following safe practices, company procedures, and OSHA regulations. Hold one-on-one sessions with direct reports to discuss safety issues, communicate expectations, and coach safe behaviors. Respond to all safety-related incidents, including injuries, incidents, and near misses; write a report explaining what happened, identify the cause, and recommend corrective actions based on established business unit or division practices. Follow up as necessary to ensure corrective actions are taken.Working Relationships
The O&M Manager reports to the Plant Manager and supervises subordinate operations and maintenance personnel.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated platforms and walkways at varying heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
Power plant environment that may involve entering confined spaces, crawling through narrow areas, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise. Work may include high heat near equipment and varying outdoor weather conditions.
Some duties may require the use of protective equipment, which can include hard hats, safety glasses, and eye protection, air masks/respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators may be required. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility.
Work Schedule
Regular scheduled workdays are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Position may also require extended working hours and varied shifts with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, workload, and plant conditions. "On call" status will periodically be required.
Compensation
Initial starting compensation will range from $145,000 to $165,000 and will include an annual performance bonus.
Job Requirements
We are seeking an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the operations and maintenance of power generating facilities, paired with a strong history of career growth and a track record of excellence in achieving results.
Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school. Technical undergraduate degree is a plus. Experience in gas-fired power plant maintenance and operations is highly desirable. Relevant industry or military experience is also acceptable. Supervisory experience with hourly personnel, demonstrating strong leadership and motivational skills. Experience with GE 7EA Turbines, MK V Controls, EX2000 Exciter, or Emerson Delta-V is a plus. Knowledge of budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation and award, basic accounting principles, plant economics, and power pool operations. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate tasks and requirements while training other personnel. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to make sound professional judgments and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) is highly desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar planning tools is preferred. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and PI OPC Interface. Strong written communication skills for drafting operating procedures, reports, work requests, and emails. Clear verbal communication skills for effectively conveying instructions and training personnel.
