Polyalcohol’s Team is seeking an Operations and Compliance Engineer to join our team for the CI Chemical Intermediates business at the Freeport BASF Verbund site.

As an Operations and Compliance Engineer, you will strive to achieve sustainable target performance from process and plant, while ensuring full compliance with complex regulatory requirements.

As a Operations and Compliance Engineer, you create chemistry by...• Providing production support by troubleshooting process issues and ensuring product quality and productivity.
• Utilizing your continues improvement mindset for continuous optimization of process to improve unit yields in collaboration with technology and operations team.
• Your keen attention to detail will be a valued asset as you review daily environmental compliance records and periodic reporting requirements.
• Leveraging your education in Chemical combined with your engineering experience in chemical manufacturing operations, project design and construction or EHS, you will provide engineering based continuous improvement solutions for minimizing the impacts of operational processes, including waste minimization.
• Striving for excellence, you will monitor and provide guidance for the achievement of plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets.
• Utilizing your practical experience in plant troubleshooting, you will provide technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, environmental, and quality incidents.
• Engaging across the organization, you will serve as Unit Contact for all data required for completion of environmental reporting, new environmental permits and/or changes to existing environmental permits
• Demonstrating your knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TCEQ and other applicable code and regulations and standards, you will ensure unit compliance with waste management activities.
