As an integral part of Emory Investment Management's (EIM) Operations team, the Investment Operations Analyst - Audit/Tax will have responsibilities associated with portfolio operations, accounting, tax and reporting; monitoring cash activity; data repository monitoring; internal and external reporting; and other duties as assigned.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintains a general knowledge of the endowment's operations functions. All roles function as a member of a broader operations team and may include participating in activities related to any of the 10BN+ in investments under supervision. The following is a summary of representative responsibilities. Portfolio Operations: Assist with the operational aspects of the portfolio. Processes transactional activities including daily cash flow review. Provides Compliance support to the Operations Team. Performs accounting and performance reconciliations. Maintains and reconciles derivatives activity. Monitors outstanding commitments and fees as well as other compliance-based requests. Daily monitoring of EIM's document management system. Tracking and processing of expenses, fee payments and monthly accruals. Accounting, Tax and Reporting: Assists with preparation of various audit workpapers. Assists with the processing of EIM's annual monitoring questionnaires (Audit confirms, Tax and ODD Monitoring). Assists with internal and external reporting needs, including Investment Committee Report preparation and review. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting or related field. Previous asset management experience preferred; high level of professional maturity, integrity, judgement and discretion required; strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple complex tasks with a focus on detail, accuracy, and timeliness. Team-oriented and comfortable working in a small office environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
