SUMMARY OF ROLE:

12 hr. Day Shift Opening

Responsible for the effective operation, changeovers and minor autonomous maintenance within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Lead Op fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Effectively lead the shift functioning as the technical & mechanical expert for the area Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause to correct room issues (technically and administrative reporting) to minimize down time Responsible for inspection and routine upkeep of machines. Should be able to document minor machine adjustments and repair processes Share technical knowledge and assist in hands on training to develop employee skills on machines, systems, procedures and work instructions utilizing Trainers as needed Follow LOTO protocol Perform necessary quality checks for the machine Coordinate communication between maintenance, engineers, quality and production to provide regular feedback of production/room throughout the shift in a team focused environment Assist Production Technician/Operator to maintain highest possible OEE on the lines Ensure all Manufacturing lines have the supplies and resources needed to work at their highest efficiency levels Ensure and participate in employee AM checklist daily Coordinate production changes overs ensuring proper line clearance and proper paperwork is completed Issue materials and ensures accurate transactions to Production Orders and Report Ops Complete daily Assist when available to ensure operators record production results at the end of the shift accurately by review and update of iAuditor hourly or as deemed necessary Ensure that all personnel comply with all Safety, Personnel, Operations, OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA, Environmental policies and other regulatory guidelines and rules Escalate any concerns of safety, quality or productions issue that cannot be immediately resolved Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in manufacturing Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D required. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Ability to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Focused on details and accuracy of reporting. Ability to be flexible and multitasking. Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and leadership qualities Able to communicate clearly and decisively to the team members and to next shift. Good understanding of product lines Technical or mechanical skills required. Basic electrical understanding Basic mechanical alignment skills required. Automation experience a plus. Understands pneumatic/ vacuum technology Can use measuring/ leveling tools.
