Operational Excellence Engineer II

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices via the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies Prioritize multiple projects to ensure proper allocation of people and financial resources Accountable for defining, visualizing and managing performance metrics for work area Work closely with contributors on and off the shop floor to identify, implement, and drive adoption of process improvements Communicate and present the proposed improvement ideas to the organization Create value for the plantBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or a closely related field; i.e., Math, Science, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain3+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment3+ years working cross functionally with technical and non-technical teams3+ years defining and implementing process improvement using data, metrics, and change managementKnowledge of Excel (advanced) and SQL (intermediate)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:MBA or Masters degree in engineering or businessThe above experience in Steel or another Process industryThe above experience in a union setting*Level and compensation based on experience.
