This job is for a Wastewater Treatment Technician in our Gary Plant which REQUIRES an Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Wastewater Operator License Class A or higher classification.

REQUIREMENTS:IDEM Wastewater Operator License (Class C or D)High School Diploma or GEDMust pass a pre-employment digital assessment.Safety is #1 - Must be able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment as required which includes harnesses (work may be performed at heights requiring wearing of harnesses or climbing up/downstairs; ladders; etc.); protective clothing; hard hats; metatarsal boots; safety glasses; hearing protection; and, when necessary, respirator.Must learn and will be required to work all positions in the departmentMust be capable of working on elevated platformsMust be capable of lifting 50 lbs.Must be capable of operating mobile equipment.Must be willing/able to work rotating shift work including weekends and holidays - this is a 365/7/24-hour operation - does not close - overtime work is required as needed and may be mandatedPunctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction is required for the success of the operation
