The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Operating System Image Engineer to manage the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of OS images for the Department of the Air Force SIPR environment.  This environment is geographically distributed with over 100 locations across the world.  The OS images delivered should provide a consistent, high-quality experience for users across all mission environments, and enable the Department of the Air Force to transition focus from network operations to mission operations. 

The OS Image Engineer will support our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customers classified environment.

This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, auditing, and troubleshooting of OS images. The OS Image Engineer would be responsible for developing images in support of both physical and virtual (cloud and on-prem virtual) servers and workstations, and Windows and Linux OSs. 


Responsibilities:

Support the design, including software configuration, of the management of the images, tool integration, and deployment of both physical and virtual OS images.  Design with a holistic view of the enterprise to ensure cost, performance, networking, storage, and security are consideredDevelop automation scripts to enhance the delivery, security, and performanceTroubleshooting performance issues across the organizationSupport both Windows and Linux OSsProvide TIER 3 support to system administrators as needed, and interface with TIER 4 OEM support as requiredProvide guidance on optimization of servers for platform interoperability and integration of technologies. 


Qualifications:

Required: 

Active Secret clearance is requiredBachelor’s Degree and 5+ years’ experience (additional 5+ years of recent relevant experience may be substituted for degree, for total of 10+ years of experience)5+ years’ cumulative experience with systems administration in Linux environments (RHCE equivalence) and Windows Server environments (MS Security Engineer/Solution Architect equivalence).3+ years’ cumulative experience integrating, securing, and understanding the following Microsoft platform services (both in Windows OS and in Azure Cloud):  Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Windows AD-integrated PKI, Single Sign On (SSO) implementation.3+ years’ cumulative experience with customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.3+ years’ cumulative experience with VMWare (implementing, managing, configuring).3+ years’ cumulative experience with securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-27, NIST 800-137, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions.3+ years’ cumulative experience with log management, network firewalls, and testing.Experience with enhance data protection and compliance (such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Azure Key Vault, Cyphers).Experience with Agile/Kanban, Git/GitHub.


Desired:

2+ years’ cumulative experience with ServiceNow, DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines and Azure Repos2+ years’ cumulative experience creating and analyzing PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, JAVA based, YAML and/or Python scripts.Relevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g., Network +, Security+, Microsoft, AWS, VMware, CISSP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-Security, etc.)2+ years’ recent (within the past 3 years) cumulative experience with Azure Cloud Computing.Some experience with any or all of these products or technologies:  Red Hat Satellite, Nagios, ForeScout, CyberArk, Layer7 PAM, SailPoint, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Splunk, AMQP (RabbitMQ), Nessus suit, Swimlane, Qualys, SCCM/MECM, BigFix, MDM solutions, JIRA (again, nice to have, not required)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$72,200 - $147,900
