Job Overview:
The Data and Charge Analyst has the responsibility for the facilitation of entry of all perioperative data and audit activities associated with post-case data and patient supply charges. The incumbents are responsible for the ultimate accuracy of: post-case data capture and entry, daily procedural charge entry, daily post-case scheduling of add-on and emergency cases, daily charge transmittal, monthly audits and final reports for assigned cost centers. It is also the responsibility of each OR Data and Charge Analyst to provide back-up support/coverage for other OR Data and Charge Analysts working in this functional area. The timely and accurate execution of these duties makes this job vital to the fiscal operation of all of perioperative se4rvices and the hospital as a whole.

Ability to multi-task, and to handle changes in schedule or work load without explicit direction.
Documents problems and is able to resolve them by using prior experience, peers and other resources.
Ensures that accurate information is taken from the preference cards, nursing staff and/or Sales Representatives. Coordinates information with the OR and other departments.
Good rapport and cooperation when working with OR Staff, other departments and co-workers. Team player.
Has computer skills, knowledge of surgical procedures and knows medical and surgical terminology
