We strive to provide what matters to you personally with the ability to choose and modify programs to suit your lifestyle. **Overview** The Media Buyer negotiates with media suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective achievement of objectives, balancing price and quality factors. Negotiation reflects brand strategy and requirements for approved OOH campaigns in a team environment. This position requires a candidate who is analytical, mathematically proficient, well-organized and highly attentive to detail. The candidate must be knowledgeable about the TV and radio landscape (programming, trends, formats, ownership) and research. Apex is a new division of Publicis Groupe in Canada, the successful candidate will help build the process, be a self-starter, a very responsible person able to work with minimal supervision. **Responsibilities** + Manage poster media plans from conception to completion for all agency accounts + Manage internal agency relations + Draft calls for tender for suppliers and ensure that all appropriate suppliers for a contract are included in the call for tender. + Negotiate the purchase of advertising space + Provide research data to support OOH recommendations. + Work with planning teams and agencies to ensure plans are aligned with strategy and meet client objectives. + Work with media suppliers on tactical aspects of media buying to meet campaign objectives and/or client request. + Oversee media posting to ensure campaign is executed accurately and on time. + In-depth knowledge of media suppliers and formats available in relevant markets for assigned client(s). + Manage contracts/insertion orders and any resulting revisions with media suppliers. + Verify the accuracy of plans and all ancillary documents (invoices, specifications, contracts, etc.). + Oversee the contracting process with approved media buys and ensure compliance. + Actively develop and maintain strong relationships with media suppliers. + Help with financial management + Train media assistants + Prepare/develop reports in PowerPoint and Excel - routine and customized reports + Use of all media-related systems (DDS, Prisma, Adstruc, COMMB) + Key contacts + Internal buying team, strategy manager/planner, finance + External media sales reps, media systems reps **Qualifications** + Graduate degree in media studies or bachelor's degree preferred. + At least two years' experience in media buying and/or planning + Strong negotiation and presentation skills, excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills + Solid knowledge of the Quebec market + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Technical skills, particularly with Excel, Word and PowerPoint + Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills + Ability to work successfully in a team, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure. + Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work + Rigorous but fair negotiator + Problem-solving skills + Good resistance to pressure + Team player + People skills - builds strong relationships with media contacts **Additional information** Publicis Media is an equal opportunity employer with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
