Posted Job Title Online Program Coordinator, NPL Job Profile Title Coordinator B Job Description Summary The School of Social Policy & Practice seeks a professional higher education program coordinator to join the Nonprofit Leadership Online Master's Degree Program. The coordinator will work directly with members of the School's standing and instructional faculty to support online course development, work with the Faculty Director and Administrative Director on recruitment and admissions, advise Online Nonprofit Leadership Master’s students, work with the Associate Director to support students in the Nonprofit Leadership Practicum, and work with the Director of Instructional Design and Educational Technology on schoolwide online initiatives. This includes assisting in the day-to-day activities of the NPL Online Program and working closely with the program's Administrative Director on program needs, providing resources to students and faculty, and assisting with expansion of the program's reach within Penn and beyond. * All SP2 staff are required to participate in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed. Job Description Job Responsibilities + Provide administrative/instructional support for faculty and instructional staff teaching online courses in the Canvas LMS. Collaboratively coordinate, develop, evaluate, and revise NPL online courses with faculty and instructors by supporting syllabus development, recommending appropriate activities and assessments, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, enhancing accessibility, recruiting course assistants and instructors for appropriate courses as required, and working with Finance on hiring and onboarding part-time lecturers and course assistants. Support the Faculty Director and Administrative Director with program-level curricular revisions and strategic planning. + Advise Online Nonprofit Leadership Program students, including meeting with students for course selection, career development, academic support, alumni support, and any issues that arise. Create, locate, and share student resources. Keep up to date on online student support best practices and present to team. + Support the Director of Instructional Design and Educational Technology on school-wide online initiatives including supporting SP2 faculty and other instructional staff, supporting the development of online programs, and keeping up to date on instructional design and online learning best practices. + Provide support for the Administrative Director, NPL, for recruitment and admissions including marketing plan development; alumni relations; video, photographic, and copy advertising design and implementation; recruitment event planning and staffing both online and in-person; and admissions committee participation through reviewing, interviewing, and recommending applicants for admission. + Support the Associate Director and Administrative Director in Nonprofit Leadership Practicum placements including the placement process, reflection meetings, mid-term and final evaluations; recruitment of mentors; and maintenance of relationships with current mentors. + Plan and manage deadlines, documentation, and other critical elements to make sure distance-based NPL online projects are completed on schedule including new student orientation, cohort building events, alumni events, and graduation. + Perform additional duties as assigned, including participation in convocation and graduation ceremonies as needed. Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education program coordination, especially instructional design and online course development, instructional technology for academia, or a related training capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Master’s degree preferred.- Ability to work effectively with graduate instructors, students, and working professional learners- Knowledge of the latest in online pedagogies, instructional design technology tools, and assessments- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills- Ability to work in small teams and independently- Superb attention to detail- Excellent customer servicePreferred- Experience with graduate programs- Background in a social policy & practice related field Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Targeted Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
