Onboarding Specialist - Remote

**Job Summary**
The Onboarding Specialist supports the Human Resources (HR) department by managing and coordinating the onboarding process for new employees. This role ensures a seamless transition for new hires into the organization by facilitating pre-employment requirements, coordinating orientation programs, and serving as a resource for employees during the onboarding process. The Onboarding Specialist collaborates with HR, hiring managers, and other departments to deliver a welcoming and effective onboarding experience.
**Essential Functions**
+ Coordinates and oversees the onboarding process for new hires, including pre-employment screenings, background checks, and completion of required documentation.
+ Guides new employees through the onboarding process, providing assistance with paperwork, benefits enrollment, and other HR-related inquiries.
+ Collaborates with hiring managers to create personalized onboarding schedules, ensuring a smooth introduction to the organization and department.
+ Prepares and facilitates new hire orientation sessions, introducing employees to the organization’s mission, values, policies, and procedures.
+ Maintains accurate and up-to-date onboarding records in the HRIS, ensuring timely and efficient data entry and reporting.
+ Coordinates with IT, facilities, and other departments to ensure new hires have access to necessary systems, equipment, and workspace on their start date.
+ Tracks and reports onboarding metrics, such as completion rates and employee feedback, to identify areas for improvement.
+ Serves as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed promptly.
+ Assists with special projects and initiatives related to onboarding and employee engagement as assigned.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred
+ 0-2 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or a related administrative role required
+ Experience with HRIS platforms (i.e., Oracle) and document management systems preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
