On Site Service Technician
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Onsite Service Technician** to join our team specializing in **Services, Maintenance and Diagnostics** for our **Field Service Department** in **Tarkwa, Ghana.** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways** : + Customer Engagement: By engaging customers courteously and professionally, you'll build strong relationships and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently. + Efficient Repairs: Using specialized tools and following documented procedures, you'll diagnose and complete less complex repairs, ensuring high-quality service. + Preventative Maintenance: Coaching customer employees on preventative maintenance and basic repairs will help them maintain their equipment better, reducing downtime. + Issue Escalation: By escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors, you'll ensure that complex problems are addressed promptly. + Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately, such as service worksheets and warranty claims, will help maintain clear records and support business operations. + Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements will keep you updated on the latest techniques and tools, enhancing your effectiveness. + Work Area Maintenance: Keeping your work area and tools clean and in proper operation will ensure a safe and efficient working environment. + Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any issues will help maintain a safe workplace for everyone. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to isolate and repair failed components. + Proficiency with Electronic Service Tools: Knowledge of the hardware and software tools required for service events, and the ability to interpret their results to determine next steps. + Understanding of Engine Systems: Capability to analyze interactions of electrical and mechanical systems using tools and service publications to diagnose and repair efficiently. + Product Repair and Maintenance Expertise: Skills in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines to ensure quality repairs and minimize customer costs. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience** + Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred) + Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution + Current relevant electrical certification (optional) + Locally valid driving permit + Basic level field service work experience + Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products + High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional) + Customer service experience + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Job** Service **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site **Job Type** Technician **ReqID** 2409855 **Relocation Package** No
