On- Site Senior Support and Installation Technician
Reference PE002533/VD Location Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth Salary Interval Monthly Package None-negotiable Description Our client a leading provider of software solutions to the retail and hospitality sectors is seeking to add an On - Site Senior Installation and Support Technician to their Port Elizabeth based team.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; A+ and N+ preferred. Previous experience in technical support, installation, or maintenance, preferably within the point-of-sale or retail technology industry. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a strong understanding of networking principles. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and building positive client relationships. Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed and work occasional evenings or weekends. Responsibilities, but not limited to:
1. System Setup and Configuration:
Install POS hardware (e.g., terminals, printers, cash drawers, card readers). Configure POS software according to client specifications. Ensure integration with existing systems (e.g., inventory management, accounting software). 2. Network Configuration:
Set up and secure network connections for POS systems. Configure wireless and wired network settings. 3. Data Migration:
Transfer and import data from legacy systems to the new POS system. Ensure data integrity during the migration process. 4. Testing and Quality Assurance:
Perform thorough testing of the installed systems to ensure all components are functioning correctly. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues detected during testing. 5. User Training:
Provide comprehensive training to staff on how to use the POS system. Develop training materials and user manuals. 6. Documentation:
