Audacy New York is looking for On Air Personalities to join our classic Hip Hop and Throwback station, 94.7 The Block!

 

The Block features songs and artists that are synonymous with New York’s iconic hip-hop culture and history.  You’ll hear artists like Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Rihanna, Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige and more on The Block.   As an On Air Personality, you will live, breath and understand all facets of Hip Hop music, history and culture in NYC.  

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informativeParticipate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presenceProtect the station’s FCC licenseMonitor the music and commercial logs for the airshiftEnsure that promotions and contests are executed properlyOperate the control board and perform production workMake personal appearances at station events and remote broadcastsOther duties as required by management Qualifications

More About You:

Must have extensive knowledge (and be a fan) of Class Hip Hop and an understanding of the audience and the broadcast area, as well as familiarity with New York’s Hip Hop historyMust be an excellent communicator with strong creative skillsMust have solid production skills and a strong working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air and production execution, including on-air digital systems such as Audio Vault and RCS Master ControlKnowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographicsExcellent on-air voice with demonstrated track record requiredMust be collaborative with salesA valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Majority of work day will be spent sitting at broadcast board, speaking into a microphone and manipulating board controls. Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

 

The anticipated starting salary range for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $35/hr-$61/hr.

 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
