Job Overview:

We are seeking a junior research professional to join our Knowledge Services Research team in Mexico City. The Knowledge Services department supports consultants with market data and competitor information necessary for the successful planning and execution of strategic projects on various topics and industries.

As a Researcher at Oliver Wyman, you will conduct research to support information requests submitted by internal clients and members of Oliver Wyman’s global knowledge organization. You will have access to a wide array of information resources including online databases covering economic, market, and company information. With these resources, you will be trained to identify and source macroeconomic indicators, company financial data, industry trends as well as conduct focused literature reviews. You will also maintain your own topical information products to help consulting teams stay current in their knowledge of changes and trends in key industry areas.

Over time you will learn to analyze data and information to glean deeper insights to enhance your deliverables and service to your clients. The successful candidate will provide support across multiple sectors, with a perspective to start focusing on a specific industry.

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are essential

University degree with a strong academic record

Experience in market research or academic research and databases user experience is required

Inquisitive by nature, with a passion for continuous learning through research on diverse topics, including the willingness to embrace the learning curve that comes with each new subject. Enjoys solving complex problems and is attentive to detail and accuracy, demonstrating strong skills in summarizing and structuring research results

Must be a collaborative team player with a flexible attitude

Capable of negotiating and clarifying the scope of work with senior clients

Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Knowledge of python, web scraping, data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as knowledge of Portuguese, is an advantage.
