Job Title: Actuarial Health - Analyst - 2025

Office/Regions available: Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Philadelphia

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will have unique exposure to work alongside and learn from Oliver Wyman’s industry leaders while contributing to a broad range of client projects. You will gain industry exposure with Oliver Wyman’s clients, which include prestigious insurance companies, provider health systems, state regulators, and private equity firms.

Potential projects may include:

Health insurance product development, modeling and analysis supportCare management design and operational efficiency optimizationPricing assumption analysis, trend analysis, model methodology reviewsMedical and pharmacy claims analysis, including benchmarking to applicable industry experienceFinancial reporting and valuation supportMarket simulation analyses of proposed federal and state legislationMergers & acquisitions due diligence including assumption review, model build and valuationFeasibility studies for startup operations or expansions of new productsSupport of regulatory changes and implementationAnalysis of value-based care and other risk-taking arrangements

Skills and Attributes

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related fieldActively pursuing actuarial credentialsTrack record of and desire for rapid learning, high performance, and professional growthStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent time management skillsUnderstanding of the value of collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a team settingDeep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving abilityHighly motivated individual and willingness to work in a dynamic environmentStrong skills with MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other programming languages

The applicable base salary range for this role is $66,000 - $90,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, exams, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
