As a key part of  TotalEnergies’ renewables energy growth ambition of 35GW of  by 2025 and 100GW by 2030, the Offshore Wind team is expanding to deliver on a growing project portfolio across the globe

The Site Manager will form a key part of the Operations Management team. The site manager is the representative of Yunneng Wind Power Co. (YWPC) at site and will be designated as the RSES for operations.

The position will be split between Budai and Taipei, Taiwan with the main working place being Budai. However frequent visits [MP1] [MD2] to Taipei and offshore locations should be expected.

 

Activities


The Site Manager represents the interest of YWPC on site and will be Responsible for Safety and Environment on Site (RSES) and will ensure that all contractors work in accordance with Employer HSE requirements and principles.


The site manager is responsible for:

HSE 

Ensuring that all site activities are executed in full accordance with HSE requirements and principlesEnsure good housekeeping across all YWPC operated sitesConduct HSE toolbox talks  with contractors at site and ensure induction of new personnel in the TTE HSE principles before being allowed to work at site.

 

RSES responsibilities

The site manager is the company representative at site and must ensure that all work executed in the wind farm is executed in accordance with TTE working principles.Approve all submitted permit to work, verifying that Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) are specific, sufficient and clearly explain the works.Review all scopes to be executed for the following day and ensure there are no Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) or coordination risksSpecifically verify any ad-hoc permit to be raised as a result of emergent work within the day and ensure that any relevant risks are considered and mitigated before the work is released.Conduct and participate in Toolbox talksSupervise site activities at the substations and base as required.

 

Electrical Operations

Jointly responsible with the IOC Lead for the Electrical Operations Safety (Safety from the System) of the windfarm.Act as Senior Authorized Person (SAP) for any electrical activity being executed within the wind farm and ensure that all personnel working on tasks involving electrical hazards have the required skill level and are given the required instructions and induction for the work they need to performResponsible for planning and supervising any electrical operations on HV equipment within YWPC responsibility.Drafting/Reviewing Switching Schedules (SS) and other related documentsAppointment of APs and ESPs for the wind farm and ensuring they are kept up to date on any changes to electrical equipment or any downgraded situations related to electrical equipment.  Maintaining up-to-date registers including but not limited to SS register, authorization register, switching log, etc.

 

Management of base and facilities

The site manager is responsible for ensuring that YWPC base facilities are operational and that contractual obligations towards main contractors are met (i.e. lifting and cargo handling equipment waste management, A/C etc.).Ensures YWPC equipment and spare parts are stored safely and correctly and ensure a full inventory of the items owned by YWPC. Ensure contractors utilizing YWPC storage facilities and equipment do so in full compliance with HSE and housekeeping principles.

 

Supporting the general activities in the operations of the wind farm as per the instructions of the Operations Manager or general manager.

Profile Required

 

Electrical engineering background to obtain qualification as Senior Authorized Person for HV works.Experience with site management and working with contractors in a similar settingAbility to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demandsTeam playerCuriosity, accuracy and rigorGood interpersonal skillsFlexible mindset, able to work outside comfort zone.Fluent in English and Mandarin.
