We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Offset Printer/Bindery Technician within our Printing Solutions team to help support our Creative Services business. As an Offset Printer/Bindery Technician you will have the opportunity to produce high-quality printed materials that support our internal operations and external customers. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in all production processes.
So, what will you be doing as an Offset Printer/Bindery Technician?
Operation of offset press, including precise setup, adjustment, and image transfer from plates to blanket to paper while ensuring alignment with job specifications and quality standards Inspection of output for color accuracy, registration, and consistency, making necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards Operation of booklet makers and perfect binders/padders, ensuring precise setup for collating, folding, stapling, and gluing for high-quality finished products Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime Identify and resolve issues with printing machinery, including mechanical and operational problems to ensure continuous production Load paper, ink, and other materials into the press, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely notification of supply shortages Review work orders, proofs, and specifications to ensure accuracy and meet client expectations Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work environment Partner with design, production, and finishing teams to achieve project goals and deadlines
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating offset printing presses Proficient in press setup, color matching, and troubleshooting mechanical issues Strong eye for color accuracy, registration, and quality control Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors High school diploma or equivalent.
