Job Description

To manage client relationships and the technical administration of a full section of Trusts and Managed Agencies. This involves having an understanding of The Trust Property Control Act and the Trust Income Tax Act, Including Section 7C.   This includes working closely with the Trust Operations Team and other areas to ensure that all aspects of the administration process run smoothly and within procedures. This is aligned to the specific requirements of the Standard Trust Limited.

QualificationsCompleted Matric Diploma in Finance and Accounting and Legal

Experience

3 - 4 years In-depth knowledge of trust laws, estate planning principles and financial concepts. Experience in trust administration with a Trust Company or firm of attorneys who have a dedicated trust/fiduciary services department. Proven ability to interact with clients, addressing their inquiries, providing guidance and maintaining positive relationships. Proficiency in reviewing legal documents, contracts and regulations relevant to trust administration. 1 - 2 years Experience in assessing and mitigating risks associated with trust administration, ensuring the security of trust assets and adherence to regulatory compliance. Familiarity with the trust tax laws including income tax and capital gains tax and the implications is taxed in the trust or distributed to the beneficiaries.
